INDIANAPOLIS — Northridge’s 4 x 400-meter relay finished in 14th place Saturday at the IHSAA state championship meet at the Robert C. Haugh Track & Field Complex on the Indiana University campus in Bloomington.
The foursome of senior Madison Sorg, freshman Ella Hoefer, senior Ariana Stoltzfus and junior Shelby Heerschop were clocked in a time of 4:00.73 to finish among the local leaders in the meet.
Also for Northridge, senior Karlee Lehman was 21st in the 300 hurdles (47.10) and Heerschop 24th in the 200 (26.07).
North Central captured the team title with 75 points, followed by Warren Central 52, Hamilton Southeastern 48, West Lafayette 42, Zionsville 30, Fort Wayne Northrop 26, Brebeuf Jesuit 23, Lake Central 22, Center Grove 21 and Pike 20 to round out the top ten.
Penn tied for 31st place with 7 points.
Fairfield senior Chloe Bontrager finished in a tie for 19th in high jump (5-2).
NorthWood’s 4 x 100 relay of junior Regan Hartman, freshman Emma Martz, senior Lexi Parisi and senior Riley Hershberger placed 27th (50.52).
Concord junior Summer Cooper was 21st in the 800 (2:22.62).
Wawasee senior Jada Parzygnot finished in a tie for 13th in pole vault (11-3). The 4 x 800 relay of sophomore Bailey Mayhew, freshman Courtney Cox, freshman Cameron Kryder and senior McKenzie Smith finished 25th (10:44.58).
Westview junior Aleka Ernsberger finished 15th in the 400 (57.81).
Elkhart Memorial junior Morgan Dyer placed ninth in the 1,600 (5:00.51) and 18th in the 3,200 (11:21.12), junior Laila Nagy 23rd in the 400 (59.27) and junior Mya Reeves 25th in the 200 (26.39). The 4 x 100 relay of freshman Madison Axsom, junior Laila Nagy, Reeves and sophomore Emily Anderson were 23rd (49.75).
Elkhart Central sophomore Mia Pulianas was 20th in discus (116-02).
