WARSAW — Concord took third place and Northridge captured fourth in the team standings at the IHSAA girls track and field sectional Tuesday night at Warsaw High School.

The hometown Tigers won the title for the 13th consecutive time with a total of 134 1/2 points. Elkhart Memorial was second with 84 1/2 points, followed by Concord 82, Northridge 72, Columbia City 56, Elkhart Central 48, NorthWood 46, Wawasee 42, Fairfield 32, Goshen 16, Elkhart Christian Academy 9 and Lakeland Christian Academy 2.

The first, second and third place finishers in each individual event or relay, and any individual or relay team meeting the state standard, advance to the regional Tuesday, May 21 at Warsaw.

Concord advanced three people in five events to the regional. Tesslyn Tarman placed second in the 300 hurdles (48.13) and third in the 100 hurdles (16.45), Summer Cooper first in the 800 (2:23.18) and Janiyah Barnes first in the 200 (26.36) and second in the 100 (12.75).

Northridge had four individuals in five events and a relay move on the next week. Karlee Lehman finished first in the 300 hurdles (47.68), Shelby Heerschop second in the 200 (26.47) and third in the 100 (12.79), Kit Kirkpatrick second in long jump (16-4) and Ella Hoefer second in the 400 (1:00.46). Madison Sorg, Ella Hoefer, Ariana Stoltzfus and Heerschop won the 4x400 relay (4:03.45).

NorthWood had two relays go on. Karli McBrier, Riley Hershberger, Reagan Hartman and Brooke Roa were first in the 4x100 relay (50.71) and Alea Minnich, Kali Parisi, Lexi Parisi and Sara Lopez third in the 4 x 400 relay (4:10.11).

Wawasee advanced three individuals in four events and a relay. Jada Parzygnot placed first in long jump (16-6) and second in pole vault (11-2), Bailey Mayhew third in the 400 (1:01.93) and Sara Pritchard third in discus (107-1). Mayhew, Ndia Palcacios, Cameron Kryder and McKenzie Smith placed third in the 4x800 relay (10:09.12).

Fairfield had three individuals moved on in three events. Chloe Bontrager was first in high jump (5-3), Olivia Elledge second in the 100 hurdles (16.25) and Carol Haldeman third in the 3,200 (11:47.53).
