Downtown Goshen Inc. hosted the first Maple City Walk on Oct. 3. The half-marathon walk started and ended at the mill race, continued on the Maple City Greenway, and featured the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail as the core of its course. Many thanks to the sponsors of the walk: Cripe Septic Cleaning Service Inc.; Woldruff’s Footwear; Friends of the Pumpkinvine; Goshen City Park Department; Elkhart County Park Department; Hawkins Water Tech Inc; The Wellness Studio; Spacious Heart Yoga; and Kercher’s Farm Market. Because of your help the walk was a success.

Goshen is fortunate to have a coordinated system of urban pedestrian/bicycle paths with linkage to the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail. These are valuable community resources that promote sustainability, healthy lifestyles and recreation and help to make Goshen a city of choice. Many thanks also to the walkers who braved a light rain to complete the course. We hope to see you back next year!
