Westview High School’s co-valedictorians were announced this week. All four students’ grade-point averages were within 0.009 points of one another.
Asher Gingerich is the son of Jason and Andrea Gingerich, of Topeka. He plans to attend Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology to study computer science with the end goal of working in the artificial intelligence industry. His high school activities included speech team, concert band, Techfest, tennis, SCI-TEC Academy, EWC Youth and EWC Sound Team.
Miranda Kresse is the daughter of Sheldon and Kristie Kresse, of Topeka. She plans to attend Purdue University’s College of Engineering. Her high school activities include National Honors Society, class representative, Partners Linking Understanding with Success Mentor Program, volleyball, tennis, cheerleader, peer tutor and participation in church youth group.
Maria McCoy is the daughter of Mike and Nikole McCoy, of Wolcottville. She plans to attend Purdue University to study bio-medical engineering. Her high school activities include volleyball, basketball, National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, prom committee, yearbook, Spanish Club, Student Council and participation in church youth group.
Sierra Weaver is the daughter of Deb and Craig Weaver, of LaGrange. She plans to attend Purdue University to study pharmacy. Her high school activities include cross-country, track, National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Student Council, Partners Linking Understanding with Success Mentor Program, Academic Super Bowl and Spanish Club.
