Ad scam using Fairfield name

Fairfield Jr.-Sr.High School Athletic Director-Mark Hofer advises the public that a person calling herself “Amy” has approached a business in Goshen purporting to represent Fairfield and trying to sell ads. “She does not represent any part of Fairfield that we know of,” Hofer said in an issued statement. “From what we were told, the person is very pushy. When the business checked their caller ID, it was “Private” and the number was not available.”

He said that if there is ever a question about someone selling anything representing Fairfield, contact Hofer or the school for verification at 574-831-2184. “We very much appreciate all the businesses in the Goshen area do for us and our fellow schools and do not want to see those relationships damaged by some scammer,” Hofer stated.
