Goshen Police responded to a report of a shooting at 1008 N. Fifth St. at 12:02 a.m. Saturday.

A Goshen woman was shot in the leg as she struggled with an intruder for her gun.

Goshen police said that at 12:02 a.m. Saturday, police were called to 1008 N. Fifth St. on a report of a shooting.

Police said Sarah Marshall, 31, told police she heard a noise in her home and found an unknown male standing in her house. She retrieved her handgun and approached the male and a short struggle for the gun ensued and it discharged, with a bullet striking Marshall in her leg.

Police said the wound was non-life threatening. She was taken to Goshen Hospital for treatment of her injury.

Police said they have no description of the person who entered the house, other than they were a male.
