A boil order has been issued for residents living along West Wilden Avenue from Michigan Avenue to Beaver Lane and along Indiana Avenue from River to Wilden avenues.

The order was issued following a water main break this morning on Indiana Avenue. According to a press release from Goshen Water Department officials, "During a major water main break, there is the possibility the water system can become contaminated. The state requires us to issue a water boil order under these conditions."

Two consecutive water samples will need to be taken and analyzed for bacteria. If the samples pass, the boil order will be lifted.

Do not drink the water without boiling it first. However, the water can be used for showers, baths, laundry, brushing teeth and flushing toilets. Dishwashers are OK if there is a sanitizing cycle. If not, rinse with boiled or bottled water.
