Barn fire

Workers are salvaging what they can from a burned barn at 22620 C.R. 40, Goshen, southwest of Goshen.

A barn was destroyed in a fire early this morning in Harrison Township.

Firefighters from several townships were dispatched to 22620 C.R. 40, Goshen, at 1:37 a.m. today.

Jonathan Zimmerman is the dairy farm operator, but the farm itself is owned by another family member.

The fire was under control by 4:43 a.m. and firefighters did not leave the scene until 8:06 a.m.

There was a large turnout of people at the scene, who were helping clear the area and put in a temporary electrical hookup.
