A referendum aimed at raising funds for improved student safety within the Wa-Nee School Corporation was passed overwhelmingly Tuesday by district voters.

GOSHEN — Elkhart residents Doug Graham, Republican, and Democrat Ralph Spelbring will compete for the Elkhart County Council District 1 seat in Tuesday’s election.
