Menzies wed

GOSHEN — Erica Lauren Cripe and Christopher Joseph Menzie were married May 11 by Joe Focht at Nappanee Missionary Church.

The bride is the daughter of Vicki and Robert Cripe, Goshen.

The groom is the son of Laura and Patrick Menzie, Fort Wayne.

Attending the bride were Cassie Screeton, Bradie Vance, Brittany Carlson, Stephanie Cook, Amanda Menzie, sister of the groom, and Emily Knapp.

The groom’s attendants were Nate McKee, Travis Frantz, Brandon VanMatre, Tyler Geesaman, Evan Cripe, brother of the bride, and  Anthony Roth.

William Barone, Justin Brancok and Ty Mills were the ushers.

Alexander Earls, cousin of the bride,  was the ring bearer.

Pam Kirkdorffer played the organ and Jordan Kirkdorffer sang.

A reception for the couple took place at Bread & Chocolate.

After a wedding trip to Sandals Resort in Saint Lucia, the couple resides in Tampa, Fla. The bride received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and middle-school language arts from Huntington University. She teaches eighth-grade language arts for Hillsborough County Public Schools, Tampa.

The groom received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Huntington University and is a cellular and molecular biology graduate student at the University of South Florida.

Three Goshen elementary schools — Chandler, Chamberlain and West Goshen — are providing free meals to all students during the school year as part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Community Eligibility Provision of the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. Nearly 80 percent of students at Chandler, 89 percent of students at Chamberlain and 78 percent of students at West Goshen already qualify for free or reduced-price lunches based on their family income.
