Kauffmans wed

GOSHEN — Melanie Schrock and Clarke Kauffman were married at the home of the groom’s parents in Goshen, Oct. 27, 2012. They renewed their vows at New Paris Missionary Church June 1. The Rev. Dave Hackney officiated at both services.

The bride is the daughter of Julie and Carl Schrock, Syracuse.

The groom is the son of Jerrold Kauffman, Goshen, and the late Noelle Kauffman.

Tanya Schrock, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Kenzie Kurtz, Kelsey Golden, Chelsea Abramson and Kayla Ostrander.

Chandler Kauffman, brother of the groom, was the best man.  Groomsmen were Ryan Miley, Lance Schrock, brother of the bride, Jerry Nettrouer Jr., cousin of the groom, and Michael Knepper.

Jack Wysong, cousin of the bride, James Funderburg, Justin Burgess and Kyle Cross were the ushers.

Tori Swald, cousin of the groom, was the flower girl.

Curtis Drake, Mitchell Drake and Zach Swald, all cousins of the groom, served as ring bearers.

Marshall Schrock, cousin of the bride, played the guitar and sang.

A reception for the couple took place June 1 at Amish Acres in Nappanee. Andy and Jenni Wysong, uncle and aunt of the bride, and Randy and Carolyn Fudge, uncle and aunt of the groom, served as hosts.

After a wedding trip to the Sandals Resort in Saint Lucia, the couple resides in Davenport, Iowa.

The bride graduated from Fairfield High School, Goshen, and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in marketing from Bethel College, Mishawaka.

The groom graduated from Fairfield High School, Goshen, and received a degree in biology from Indiana University, South Bend. He is continuing his education at Palmer Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.

Three Goshen elementary schools — Chandler, Chamberlain and West Goshen — are providing free meals to all students during the school year as part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Community Eligibility Provision of the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. Nearly 80 percent of students at Chandler, 89 percent of students at Chamberlain and 78 percent of students at West Goshen already qualify for free or reduced-price lunches based on their family income.
