Abels wed
Natalie Brown and Nick Abel were married May 16 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Middlebury, by the Rev. Scott Tilley of River Oaks Community Church.
The bride is the daughter of Sam and Jo Ann Brown, Middlebury.
The groom is the son of Rick and Gail Abel, Wakarusa.
Katrina Craven was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Molly Brown, sister-in-law of the bride, Maggie Brunner, sister of the groom, Amanda Shoup, Natalie Stalter and Emma Rotkis.
Flower girls were Belle Brunner, niece of the groom, and Violet Krambeck.
Joe Abel, brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Ben Brunner, brother-in-law of the groom, Jeff Baumgartner, Eric Reynolds, Eric Flickinger and Willy Will.
Tommy Brunner, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer.
Lyndsi Fischer and Maritza Roque attended the guest book.
John Swartzentruber played the guitar, Emily Richardson played the cello and LeAnn Erickson played the organ.
A wedding reception hosted by Nate Brown, brother of the bride, took place at the Shipshewana Town Center and Convention Center, with dancing to the band SL4.
After a wedding trip to Siesta Key, Sarasota, Fla., the couple resides in Royal Mich.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Northridge High School, Middlebury. She attended Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis, and is a 2007 graduate of Aveda Fredric’s Institute, Indianapolis.
The groom graduated in 2001 from NorthWood High School, Nappanee. He graduated in 2005 from Indiana University, Bloomington, and received his doctorate degree in 2009 from Indiana University Medical School. He is a resident at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich.
