Heidi Blaine Saunders and Ryan Kehr Friesen were married at Ox Bow Park in a private ceremony and The Old Bag Factory in a public ceremony on June 9 by the Rev. Laurie Proctor.
The bride is the daughter of Sheila and Mick Saunders, Plainwell, Mich.
The groom is the son of Karen Kehr, Goshen and Jay Friesen, Goshen.
Attending the bride were Molly Saunders, Kelcie Glick, Charity Brubaker, Amanda Portis, Megan Friesen and Debbie Sensenich.
The groom’s attendants were Casey Yost, Clint Borntrager, Darin Friesen, Jordan Friesen, Brian Miller and Luke Saunders.
Mickey Saunders was the usher, and Rachel Saunders the flower girl.
A reception was held at The Old Bag Factory.
After a wedding trip to the Dominican Republic, the couple resides in Kalamazoo, Mich.
The bride is a graduate of Plainwell High School and Goshen College with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She received her teaching certificate from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo. She is student teaching at Plainwell High School.
The groom is a Goshen High School graduate, and graduated from Goshen College with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies.
He is a flight desk supervisor at Duncan Aviation, Battle Creek and Kalamazoo, Mich.
