Charles B. Adam, 82, C.R. 7, formerly of Wakarusa, died 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa.
He was born Aug. 19, 1930 in LaMotte Township in Michigan, to Bruce Cody and Helen May (Stitt) Adam.
He married Esther (Brenneman) Adam on Aug. 23, 1952.
He is survived by his wife, Esther; sons, Mark (Donna) Adam, Eaton Rapids, Mich., and John (Cynthia) Adam, Goshen; grandchildren, Michelle, Nathaniel, Nicholas, Lucas, Faith Adam, Melissa, Amy and Adam Lein; and a sister, Donna (Raymond) Witmer, Elkhart.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Beth Breske; parents; brother, Arthur Adam; and a sister, Doris Adam.
Charles was a graduate of Bethel College with a bachelor’s degree in religion; a member of Wakarusa Sharing Citizens, Full Gospel Businessmen’s Association and Calvary Assembly of God. He was a former minister at Oak Grove Missionary Church then worked in the poultry industry and was a purchasing agent for Manchester Tank in Elkhart.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service Saturday at Elkhart Valley Church of the Brethren, 24955 C.R. 24, Elkhart. The Rev. Dan Brenneman will officiate.
Burial will be in Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart.
