Viola I. Miller

— GOSHEN — Viola I. Miller, 85, formerly of Berne, died Sunday at Greencroft Goshen Health Care.

She was a homemaker and was married to Chalmer Miller.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy (John) Bontrager, Goshen; a sister, Helen Emenheiser, Decatur; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, James C. Miller.

Friends may call Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. service at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, 365 W. Main St., Berne. The Rev. Dee Schwartz will officiate.

There has been discussion at West Goshen Elementary School to require mandatory student uniforms in the future. How do you feel about the prospect of mandatory student uniforms in a public school environment?

I think it’s an excellent idea that is way overdue
I think it’s a bad idea and would be restrictive for students and parents.
