NAPPANEE — Clarence L. Mishler, 95, Waterfall Drive, Nappanee, formerly of C.R. 46, New Paris, died Thursday at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born Nov. 7, 1917, in New Paris to Lloyd E. and Mary Eva (Sheets) Mishler.
He married Erma L. Mishler on Sept. 28, 1939, in Wakarusa. She preceded him in death on April 27, 1987. He then married Elma (Frazen) Noffsinger Mishler on Sept. 4, 1993. She preceded him in death on Nov. 12, 2004.
He is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Flawn) Sailor of Elkhart; a son, Thomas A. (Nancy) Mishler of Nappanee; and stepsons Larry (Gaye) Noffsinger of Centerville, Ohio, and Don (Carol) Noffsinger of Tipp City, Ohio; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and seven step-greatgrandchildren.
Preceding him in death was a brother, Gerald Mishler.
Mishler was a State Farm agent for 45 years in Goshen, retiring in 2004. He was a member of Union Center Church of the Brethren, serving as deacon for 57 years.
He was a 1936 graduate of New Paris High School, and was a founding member of Gideons International, Nappanee Camp.
Visitation is set from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen, and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. Monday funeral service at Union Center Church of The Brethren. Officiating will be Pastor James Davis and Pastor Larry Fourman.
Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.
