MENDON, Mich. — Emma Yoder, 97, died Monday at her home.

She was married to Jess Hochstetler Nov. 7, 1937. He died May 10, 1980.

She married Levi B. Yoder May 2, 1982. He died May 12, 1989.

She is survived by three stepdaughters, Mary Lou Schlabach of Centreville, Ida Sue Borkholder of Sturgis, and Ruth Ann (Mose) Troyer of Mendon.

Visitation will begin this evening and will continue all day Thursday at the Yoder home, 27990 Spring Creek Road, Mendon, where funeral services will begin 9:30 a.m. Friday.

Burial will take place later Friday afternoon in Miller-Thomas Cemetery near Goshen, Ind.

Assistance was provided by the Eickhoff Funeral Home of Mendon.

Goshen City Council member Dixie Robinson is asking residents to make an effort to clean up their yards this spring. The city’s Dial-A-Truck program is available to haul trash away. Do you think there are more unsightly properties in Goshen this year than five years ago?
