Imogene Luree Myers

July 1, 1928-Sept. 27, 2013

ELKHART — Imogene Luree Myers, 85, C.R. 113, died Friday at 4:02 a.m. at IU Health Goshen Hospital.

She was born July 1, 1928 in Jefferson Township, Elkhart, County, to Warren E. and Edna M. (Eby) Risser.

She married Robert D. Myers Oct. 16, 1949. He died Dec. 26, 2011.

She is survived by her sons, Randall (Diana) Myers, Elkhart, and Wesley (Dwana) Myers, Kansas City, Mo.; brothers Gerald (Eva) Risser, Kansas City, Mo., Eldon (Carolyn) Risser, of Lexington, Ky.; sisters Helen Stewart of West Unity, Ohio, Verna Herr, of Ocala, Fla.; step-sisters Norma Riegsecker, Goshen, Mary Helen (dave) Davidsen; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Laurel Risser and her step-mother, Mary (Schrock) Risser.

She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Missionary Church.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen.

There will be one hour of calling prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service Wednesday at Bethel Missionary Church, Goshen. The Rev. Joel Gentz of the church will officiate.

Burial will be in Olive West Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Missionary Church or Faith Mission.
