NAPPANEE — Erma (Miller) Schwartz, 68, 25170 C.R. 52, died at 9 a.m. Wednesday at her home. She had been diagnosed with cancer June 6.
She was born on July 18, 1945 in Kosciusko County, to Herbert E. and Lydia Mae (Hochstetler) Miller.
She married Jerome O. Schwartz July 4, 1968. He survives along with three sons, Marion (Mary Sue) Schwartz, Dennis (Sheryl) Schwartz and Merle (Jolene) Schwartz, all of Nappanee; two daughters, Kristina (Marlin) Borkholder and Rebecca (Glen) Schmucker, both of Nappanee; two brothers, Vernon (Martha) Miller, Etna Green, and Delbert (Anna) Miller, Milford; six sisters, Velma (David) Kauffman, Nappanee, Inez (Jake) Hochstetler, Middlebury, Irene (Levi) Raber, Wolcottville, Betty (Orlin) Yoder, Nappanee, Esther (Raymond) Yoder, Goshen, and Frieda (Marlin) Miller, New Paris; 30 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Verba.
Mrs. Schwartz was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Friends and Family may call after 3 p.m. today and all day Friday at the family home.
The funeral service will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Wilbur Lehman residence. Pallbearers for the service will be James Borkholder, Adam Borkholder, Andrew Miller, Merle Hershberger, Merlin Yoder and Lyle Harshbarger.
Burial will be in Union Center West Cemetery.
