MIDDLEBURY — Robert William Duncan Jr., 68, died Thursday at 8:45 a.m. at IU Health Goshen Hospital.

On June 30, 1990, he married Paula Koontz, who survives.

Also surviving are his stepdaughter, Karen (Joel) Fry, Middlebury; stepson, James (Dee) Koontz, Middlebury; and his mother, Dorothy (Harold) Miller, Middlebury.

A memorial service will take place at a later date. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is handling arrangements.

There has been discussion at West Goshen Elementary School to require mandatory student uniforms in the future. How do you feel about the prospect of mandatory student uniforms in a public school environment?

I think it’s an excellent idea that is way overdue
I think it’s a bad idea and would be restrictive for students and parents.
