ADAMSTOWN, Md. — David M. Martin, 88, passed away Sept. 19 at his home. He was the husband of the late Junne Erickson Martin.
Mr. Martin was born June 10, 1925 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Edgar and Rita Martin.
Mr. Martin went to Tri State College in Indiana and was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi social fraternity and the American Institute of Plant Engineers. He was an active participant in religious services and the BC Singers at Buckingham’s Choice. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. David was facilities manager for Eaton Corporation and later went on to work at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. He was a Boy Scout Master for 32 years.
Mr. Martin is survived by his daughter, Susan Martin Studds and husband, Jeff, of Hyattsville; his son, Eric Martin and wife, Caroline McCall, of San Francisco, Calif.; three grandchildren, John Martin Studds, Julia Martin and Lucas Martin; two sisters, Muriel Smith of California and Margaret Williams of Virginia; and nephews, Richard Smith, Rhys, Ian and Tom Williams.
A memorial service will take place at Buckingham’s Choice, Adamstown, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. Interment will be private.
