Charles ‘Chuck’ Adams

GOSHEN — Charles “Chuck” Adams, 67, died Friday evening at IU Health Goshen Hospital.

He was born Nov. 4, 1945, in Albion, Mich., to Bruce and Dorothy M. (Hughes) Adams.

On Oct. 3, 1992, he married Brenda (Brovont) Flora in Goshen.

She survives along with a daughter, Susan Adams, Millersburg; a son, Michael Adams, Syracuse; a stepson, Tony (Daphne) Flora, Huntington; four grandchildren, Katie Brenneman, Quinton Flora, Alex Miller, and Samantha Miller; two great-grandchildren, Kasen and Kody; two sisters, Sharon Fox, Keller, Texas, and Brenda Wollet, Jackson, Mich.; and two sisters-in-law, Linda (Duane) Geiser, New Paris, and Nancy (Everett) Oyler, Wakarusa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Pam; and a stepson, Scott Flora.

Mr. Adams was an area resident since 1987. He was a machine operator and programmer at Romotec for 20 years. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of the local VFW, DAV, American Legion, and Elks Lodge.

Friends may call one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. Rev. Jeff Estep of First Brethren Church of New Paris will officiate.

Burial will follow at West Goshen Cemetery.

There has been discussion at West Goshen Elementary School to require mandatory student uniforms in the future. How do you feel about the prospect of mandatory student uniforms in a public school environment?

I think it’s an excellent idea that is way overdue
I think it’s a bad idea and would be restrictive for students and parents.
