‘Dolly’ Mary Rogers

GOSHEN — Delphine “Dolly” Mary Rogers, 81, died Thursday at 4:10 p.m. at Greencroft Goshen Health Care.
She was born Dec. 2, 1932 in South Bend, to Edward and Mary (Piechocki) Szewczyk.
She was married to the Rev. Druie Rogers, who died May 12, 1977.
She is survived by her daughters, Janice Lilly, Elkhart, Mary Rogers, Goshen, and Lana (Rogers) Parker, Sheffield, Ala.; sons, James (Cheryl) Rogers and Kenneth (Sharon) Rogers, both of Goshen, and Robert (Catherine) Rogers, Wakarusa; sisters, Joan Nickles, South Bend, and Linda (Stan) Delagrange, North Carolina; brothers, Donald (Dessie) Harley, Warsaw, Richard (Barbara) Harley, Goshen, and Michael (Vickie) Harley, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; a son, David Rogers; and a sister, Diane.
She was a homemaker and a pastor’s wife. In 1971, she and her husband founded Goshen General Baptist Church, currently known as Faith Christian Center, where she has been a member ever since. She loved people and enjoyed laughing.
The family would like to thank the Greencroft staff on behalf of Dolly for all the help and love over the years.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service today at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. Her son, the Rev. Kenneth Rogers, will officiate at the service.
Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
