ETNA GREEN — Amanda Faith Schwartz, 2 months, 4782 N. Ind. 19, Etna Green, died at 8:46 a.m. Tuesday at Kosciusko Community Hospital. She has had a heart condition since birth.

She was born Oct. 23, 2013 in Indianapolis, to LaMar and Elaine (Borkholder) Schwartz.

Amanda is survived by her parents, LaMar and Elaine; a sister, Ava Schwartz; brother, Ernest Schwartz; paternal grandmother, Katie (Helmuth) Schwartz, Bourbon; maternal grandparents, Willis and Freida (Helmuth) Borkholder, Nappanee; maternal great-grandfather, Eli Borkholder, Bremen; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Ernest Schwartz, and a cousin, LeAnn Schwartz.

Amanda’s parents are members of the Old Order Amish Church.

Family and friends may call after 2 p.m. today and all day Friday at the Daniel Ray Chupp residence, 10792 W. 450 North, Etna Green.

Funeral services will take place at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Clara Schwartz residence, 6948 N. Ind. 19, Etna Green. The home ministers of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Graber Cemetery.

There has been discussion at West Goshen Elementary School to require mandatory student uniforms in the future. How do you feel about the prospect of mandatory student uniforms in a public school environment?

I think it’s an excellent idea that is way overdue
