GOSHEN — Phillip Lee Hawn, 81, died of natural causes at his home Thursday morning.
He was born July 11, 1931 in LaPorte, to Ernest and Grace (Smith) Hawn.
On Sept. 17, 1955, he married Beverly Alfrey in Goshen.
She survives along with two daughters, Tina (Jim) Mikel, Wakarusa, and Shannon (Tom) Perkins, Goshen; two sons, Randy (Paula) Hawn, Cromwell, and Adam (Dana) Hawn, Elkhart; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Butch (Marie) Hawn, Kilgore, Texas, and Mike Hawn, Tylare, Calif.; and two half-brothers, Buddy Alfrey, Sweeny, Texas, and Junior Alfrey, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Wes Hawn; and a sister, Beverly Godwin.
Mr. Hawn was a longtime area resident and worked at Western Rubber Company. He enjoyed fishing and never met a stranger.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, where a 10 a.m. funeral service will take place Saturday. The Rev. Craig Garber will officiate.
Burial will follow at New Paris Cemetery.
