John Simeon Kimmel

SYRACUSE — John Simeon Kimmel, 7 days old, passed away at 7:05 a.m. Monday at the home of his grandparents in Syracuse.

He was born on May 6, 2013 in South Bend, to Luke D. and Karissa B. (Evans) Kimmel.

He attended the North Webster Church of God, where he was dedicated on Sunday.

He is survived by his parents, Luke and Karissa Kimmel of North Africa, temporarily residing in Syracuse; brother, Reese Daniel Kimmel of North Africa; grandparents, Jim and Kim Evans of Syracuse and Joe and Nancy Kimmel of Paoli; great-grandparents, John and Oweita Augsburger of Syracuse, Joanne Evans of Bethany, Okla., and Edward and Nancy Kimmel of Louisville, Ky.; uncles, Jonathon (Sarah) Evans of Chicago, Ill., Drew (Jessica) Evans of Dallas, Texas, Garth (Lindsay) Kimmel of New Salisbury, and Chase Kimmel of Indianapolis; and cousins, Owen, Elyza and Reed Kimmel.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of God, 301 N. Main St., North Webster, with the Rev. Jeff Boyer of the church officiating. Graveside services will take place at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Milford Cemetery.

Memorial bequests may be given to Heartline Pregnancy Center, 1515 Provident Dr., Warsaw, IN 46580 or Desiring God Ministries, 2601 E. Franklin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55406. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.
