GOSHEN — Roy E. Tyson, 59, passed away at 8:45 p.m. Monday at his home.
He was born on July 24, 1954 in Goshen, to Oscar and Harriet (Freer) Tyson.
In Benton Jan. 1, 1995, he married Mary Bradley, who survives.
Also surviving are two stepchildren, Elton (Jessica) Yeazel and Amanda (Jim) Curtis, both of Goshen; three brothers, Roger Tyson, Bob Tyson and Dick (Jan) Tyson, all of Goshen; three sisters, Bonnie (Roy) Stinson of Oregon, Marlene Phenias of Elkhart and Marjorie (Bruce) Rider of Goshen; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Travis Tyson; sister, Emily Stiver; and four brothers, Don Tyson, Arthur Tyson, James Tyson and Terry Lee Tyson.
A celebration of life service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Goshen Disabled American Veterans, 708 W. Pike St., Goshen.
Roy was an Army veteran and a member of the Goshen DAV. He loved life and loved to have fun.
Elkhart Cremation Service is entrusted with arrangements.
