GOSHEN — Roy W. Ramer, 92, C.R. 142, died Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. at his residence.
He was born Dec. 11, 1920 in Union Township, Elkhart County, to Noah and Emma (Weaver) Ramer.
On Oct. 17, 1943, he married Mary Elizabeth Bechtel, who died June 7, 2004.
He is survived by his daughters, Evelyn (Lester) Martin, New Paris, Carolyn (Glenn) Martin, Nappanee, Marlene Martin, Goshen, Ina (Ron) Martin, Elkhart, and Alta (Stanley) Martin, Goshen; a son, Marvin (Charlene) Ramer, Nappanee; 51 grandchildren; and 130 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; grandson, Edward Martin; and a son-in-law, Carl Martin.
He was a farmer, woodworker and a member of Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church, where he was ordained to the ministry in 1967.
Friends may call Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Harrison Christian School, 64784 C.R. 11, Goshen.
A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church, Goshen. The home ministers will officiate.
Burial will be in Yellow Creek Frame Cemetery.
