GOSHEN — Ella Troyer, 91, died at 2:40 p.m. Thursday at her residence after a brief illness.
She was born Sept. 6, 1921, in Middlebury, to Joseph and Katie Ann (Kauffman) Riegsecker. On Dec. 8, 1940, she married Atlee S. Troyer. He died May 5, 1991.
Surviving are four daughters, Glenna (Glen) Bontrager and Marilyn (Lester) Miller, both of Goshen, Ada (Freeman M.) Lambright, Topeka, and Kathryn (Paul) Hochstetler, Goshen; a son, Duane (Jeanne) Troyer, Goshen; 21 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Gladys (Lester) Miller, Shipshewana, Lucy Bontrager, Goshen, and Mary Riegsecker, Middlebury; and two brothers, Vernon Riegsecker, Goshen, and Glen (Esther) Riegsecker, Middlebury.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a brother, Harold Riegsecker; and a granddaughter.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be all day today at the family’s residence, 14169 C.R. 30, Goshen. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, also at the family’s residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Glen Nisley and the home ministers. Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery, Goshen.
