NAPPANEE — Ada M. Miller, 72, died unexpectedly of natural causes at 10:06 a.m. Wednesday at IU Health Goshen Hospital.
She was born Sept. 14, 1940 in Kosciusko County, to Melvin and Amanda (Miller) Borkholder. She was a lifetime area resident.
On July 28, 1961, she married Monroe Miller in Navarre, Ohio. He survives along with sisters, Anna Miller, Burr Oak, Mich., Katie Mae (Vernon) Hochstetler and Clara (Marvin) Miller, both of Centreville, Mich., and Mary Borkholder, Madison, Wis.; brothers, Perry Borkholder, Nappanee, Oba (Laura) Borkholder, Mendon, Mich., Melvin (Linda) Borkholder, Warsaw, and Larry (Susie) Borkholder, Topeka; sisters-in-law, Anna Miller-Borkholder, New York, and Laura Borkholder, New Paris; her second family, mother, Fannie Matilda Miller, Bremen; sisters, Ruth Meine, North Fort Myers, Fla., Sarah Friend, Goshen, and Lucinda Gaut, Nappanee; brothers, Abraham Miller, White Pigeon, Mich., Elam Miller, Sherman, Texas, Devon Miller, Fort Wayne, and Keith Miller, Bremen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her second father, John Miller; twin brother, Eli Borkholder; and brothers Jonas, Harry and Jake Borkholder.
Mrs. Miller had worked at Yoder Kitchens and Almega Truflax in Bremen for 13 years. She enjoyed cooking.
Family and friends may call Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. service Saturday at Northwood Chapel in Nappanee. The Rev. Larry Pletcher will officiate.
Burial will follow in South Union Cemetery.
