Carol ‘Bubba’ Boddiger

Sept. 14, 1938-Feb. 5, 2013

GOSHEN — Carol “Bubba” Boddiger, 74, passed away Tuesday morning at her home.

She was born Sept. 14, 1938 in Pecatonica, Ill., to Jacob M. and Orletta M. (Ascher) Janssen.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah S. Pepper, Union, Mich.; a son, Dennis A. (Karen) Boddiger, Cromwell; two grandchildren, Mountain Bierling, Phoenix, Ariz., and Roxy Bowser, Chandler, Ariz.; two great-grandchildren, Simon and Mason Bowser; and a sister, Donna M. (Carlton) Duncan, Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

A loving mother and grandmother, she enjoyed reading and going out to eat, especially hillbilly hot dogs.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral service Friday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. The Rev. Brad Cox of Wawasee Lakeside Chapel will officiate.

Her body will be cremated at Yoder-Culp Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen Home Care and Hospice.

There has been discussion at West Goshen Elementary School to require mandatory student uniforms in the future. How do you feel about the prospect of mandatory student uniforms in a public school environment?

I think it’s an excellent idea that is way overdue
I think it’s a bad idea and would be restrictive for students and parents.
