TOPEKA — Wilma H. Miller, 83, died at 2:31 a.m. Tuesday at IU Health Goshen Hospital. Her death was unexpected and due to natural causes. She was born on April 7, 1930, in LaGrange County, to Harvey and Mary (Troyer) Eash.
On Jan. 5, 1948, she married Mahlon A. Miller, who died Jan. 11, 2004. She is survived by her three daughters, Mary Miller of Topeka, Irene (Owen) Helmuth of Shipshewana, and Christena Miller of LaGrange; daughter-in-law, Ada Miller of Shipshewana; three sons, Mervin Miller of Topeka, David (Mary) Miller and Atlee (Margaret) Miller, both of Topeka; 19 grandchildren; 86 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Anna Schrock of LaGrange, Mary Miller of Goshen, Katie (Elmer) Bontrager of Topeka, and Lettie (William) Bontrager of LaGrange; and a brother, Mervin (Anna) Eash of Shipshewana.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Orva Miller; four sisters; six brothers; granddaughter, Wilma; grandson, Mahlon; and two great-grandchildren, Darrell and Cathy.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Friends may call after 1 p.m. today and all day Thursday at the family residence, 2180 S. 900 West, Topeka.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the David Miller residence, 8765 W. 200 South, Topeka. Services will be conducted by Bishop Elmer Yoder and the home ministers. Burial will be in Yoder Cemetery, Shipshewana.
