Nellie Ann Spurling

SYRACUSE — Nellie Ann Spurling, 79, passed away Monday at her residence.

She was born May 7, 1934 in Fort Wayne, to Harold and Marie (Morthorse) Hollis. She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Fort Wayne.

She was a longtime Syracuse-area resident. She retired from Liberty Homes as a payroll supervisor after 43 years of service. She was a member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, Syracuse.

She married Robert Spurling in 1953 in Fort Wayne.

Nellie is survived by her husband, Robert Spurling, Syracuse; daughter, Yvonne (Eric) Coburn, Leesburg; son, Daniel (Luanne) Spurling, Syracuse; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joyce Till, Brandon, Fla.

Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to IU Goshen Hospice.
