ELM CITY, N.C. — Clifford Ralph Schrock, 88, who grew up in Goshen, Ind., died Wednesday in Greenville.
There will be a funeral service Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, Wilson. Inurnment will be in Wilson.
He moved to Wilson in 1967 from Goshen to work with Goshen Rubber Company as they opened the Wilson GNC plant. He retired in 1987 as plant manager.
Affiliation with Goshen began after his service in the Army during World War II. Upon retirement, he moved to Florida, returning to the Wilson area in 2003 to be closer to his family. He was indeed a man who enjoyed his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Caldwell Schrock; daughters, Joyce Ann Hoover (Jerome), Wakarusa, Ind., Jane Ann Brantley (Jesse), Middlesex, and Julia Ann Crawley (Bill) Hillsborough; son, Scott Lee Schrock (Stephanie), Elkhart, Ind.; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren; sister, Lorraine Marceta Schrock of Florida; and brother, Glenwood Schrock (Marge) of Goshen.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Michael Fitchett (Jane) of Fuquay-Varina and his younger brother, John Lamar.
