LIGONIER — Harvey Clyde Bewley, 78, Kingston Circle, died Wednesday at 9:05 a.m. at Elkhart Hospice House. He was a former resident of Goshen and Olivesburg, Ohio
He was born Aug. 7, 1934, in Olivesburg, to Richard P. and Mable G. (Dove) Bewley.
He married Carole Ann Garvin Oct. 11, 1958.
He is survived by his wife, Carole Bewley; daughters, Julia L. (James) Fitzsimmons, Scherervile, Anna E. (Matthew) Carboneau, Goshen, and Patricia L. (Brian) Kirkpatrick, Spring Hill, Tenn.; brothers, Thomas S. Bewley, Seattle, Wash., and C. Dennis Bewley, Spokane. Wash.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard D. Bewley.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, discharged in 1959. He retired from Dometic Inc. in Elkhart and had previously worked as a receiver in the RV industry. Early in his life, he fished for salmon off the coast of Alaska for five years. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Goshen, and attended Ligonier United Methodist Church.
A funeral service will take place Friday at 2 p.m. at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. The Rev. Larry Biller of St. James Episcopal Church of Goshen will officiate.
Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
