Judy S. Kettle

SOUTH BEND — Judy Sue Kettle, 60, died Monday at Elkhart General Hospital.

She married Everett R. Kettle Dec. 9, 1978, in South Bend. He survives.

Also surviving are four sons, David (Erica) Kettle, Bobby (Goldy Pausk-Sobih) Freshour and Kevin Kettle, all of South Bend, and Eugene (Tabitha Davis) Freshour, Mishawaka; her twin sister, Betty Lou Berkey, Elkhart; and her father, James C. “Shorty” Johnson, Elkhart.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart, with a celebration of life service beginning at 8 p.m.

Burial will take place Saturday at Colbaugh Cemetery in Elizabethton, Tenn.

Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, is assisting with arrangements there.

There has been discussion at West Goshen Elementary School to require mandatory student uniforms in the future. How do you feel about the prospect of mandatory student uniforms in a public school environment?

I think it’s an excellent idea that is way overdue
I think it’s a bad idea and would be restrictive for students and parents.
