Homer F. Eash, 44, of Shipshewana, died at 4:20 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at his residence. He had been in declining health since suffering a stroke in October 2012. He was born on Aug. 22, 1969 in LaGrange to Freeman D. and Wanetia Katie (Miller) Eash. On July 14, 2012, at his residence, he married Rose A. Fry. She survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife include a son, Timothy (Elisa) Yoder of Middlebury; two sisters, Kathy (Daniel) Hochstetler of Shipshewana and Loretta Johnson of Mishawaka; and four brothers, Wilbur Lee Eash of Holland, Mich., Jerry (Mary) Eash of Ligonier, Orla (Elma) Eash of LaGrange and Lloyd (Lorraine) Eash of Shipshewana.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Alice Eash.
He was the owner/operator of Homer’s Services, specializing in asphalt and trucking.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service on Monday Aug. 26, at Shipshewana Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Keightley Cemetery, Shipshewana.
