ELKHART — Annelle Mann, 79, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Sept. 25, 1934 in Brownsville, Ky., to Victor and Lydia Mabel (Wells) McCombs.
In April 1957 she married Derald Mann, who passed away in Ohio February 2005.
Annelle is survived by her two sons, Dr. Michael Scott (LeighAnne) Mann of Fort Wayne and Mitchell (Wendy) Mann of Massillion, Ohio; two daughters, Susan (Tony) Raines of Mount Pleasant, N.C. and Lisa (Graham) Wheeler of Concord, N.C.; a half-brother, Charles Earl McCombs of Winchester, Ky.; two half-sisters, Mary Lee Bratcher of Richmond, Ky. and Vicki Houchin of Louisville, Ky.; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Jeffery Mann.
A celebration of life service will take place at 11 a.m. May 24 at Hillcrest United Methodist Church, 4206 E. Bristol St., Elkhart. The Rev. Michael Heinbaugh will officiate. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service.
Annelle worked at Greencroft for 20 years, where she was a valuable asset. She possessed great leadership skills and dedication to her job. She was involved in various causes and organizations in Elkhart County and was an active member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church.
She loved her family, God and instilled in them great Christian values.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Hillcrest United Methodist Church.
Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.
