Levi Dean Sommers

HEMLOCK — Levi Dean Sommers, 55, passed away at 4:33 p.m. Tuesday at his residence.
Born July 15, 1958 in Goshen, he is the son of the late Ralph I. Sommers and Katie (Mullet) Sommers. He was employed with General Cage in Elwood for 22 years. He enjoyed working outdoors, camping, NASCAR and spending time with his family, especially at family outings. He was a friend to everyone.
Survivors include his fiance, Donna L. Parsons of Hemlock; one brother, Wilbur (Lola) Sommers of Centrailia, Ohio; four sisters, Frieda Bowman of Kokomo, Judy Sommers of Goshen, Irene Zehring and Mary (Chuck) Carden, both of Kokomo; one niece, Kate Bowman of Pennsylvania; Donna’s children, Katie (Jerry) Schumacher and their children Vanessa and Madelyn of Kokomo; Brian (Christi) Parsons and their daughter, Laney of Kokomo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Floyd Sommers, who died Dec. 24, 2007.
The family will receive friends from noon until the 2 p.m. funeral service Saturday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo. The Rev. James Bradley will officiate. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery.
