WAKARUSA — Elnora J. Bemiller, age 87, died at 10:55 a.m. Tuesday at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa, where she had resided for one year.
She was born July 31, 1926 in Wyatt, to Harold and Eva Roeder.
She married Phillip Bemiller June 28, 1946. He preceded her in death Oct. 7, 1990.
She was a graduate of Madison Township High School and South Bend Beauty College. Elnora was a self-employed beautician for many years. She had also worked at L.J. Wagner as a decorator and as an assistant at Union Center and Woodview Schools. She was a member of the Wakarusa United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women and Current Club in Nappanee. Elnora had been a poll worker for Locke Township.
Mrs. Bemiller is survived by her daughter, Beth (Rex) Hershberger, Nappanee; sons, Mark (Keri) Bemiller and Bart (Crystal) Bemiller, both of Wakarusa; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne, Tom and Ralph Roeder.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Wakarusa and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service Friday at Wakarusa United Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Olive West Cemetery.
