ANGOLA — Justin Emer Wilder, 85, died Wednesday at his home in Angola.
He was an electrical engineer at Johnson Service.
He was born Jan. 21, 1928 near Pentwater in Oceana County, Mich., to Clarence and Marie (Poore) Wilder.
He married Dorothy Crocker Wilder Sept. 13, 1952.
On Oct. 20, 2000, he married Mary Woodruff Caughey-Wilder.
Justin graduated from the University of Michigan in 1953 with a BSE-EE degree.
He was a veteran of the United States Army who served from 1946-1948 during World War II.
He was a member of the Angola United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his four sons and daughters-in-law, Phil and Denise Wilder of Omaha, Neb., Tim and Dawn Wilder of Roanoke, Va., Tom and Brenda Wilder of New Haven, and Doug and Joy Wilder of Chicago, lll.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kathryn and Bob Howard and Kathleen Wilder, both of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Dorothy (Crocker) Wilder, who died in 1999; his second wife, Mary (Woodruff) Caughey-Wilder, who died in 2004; two brothers, Mark Wilder and Loyd Wilder; and two sisters, Anna Bell Crummel and Marcella Wilder.
Services will begin at 11 am. Monday at the Angola United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tim Terrell officiating.
Burial with military honors will take place at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Violett Cemetery in Goshen.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday prior to the service at the Angola United Methodist Church.
