John William Yeater

Feb. 20, 1935-July 10, 2013

CHANDLER, Ariz. — John William Yeater, 78, 612 W. McNair St., died July 10 following a long battle with cancer. He was born Feb. 20, 1935 in New Paris, Ind., to Waldo Emerson and Nellie Viola (Ebeling) Yeater.

On Sept. 8, 1956, he married Patricia Elaine Slabaugh.

He resided in Milford, Ind. from 1935 to 1964; in Nappanee, Ind. from 1964 to 1987; and then moved to Chandler. He was a custom-kitchen designer and a member of Central Christian Church in Mesa.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; a daughter, Lori Lynn Yeater, Superior, Colo.; sons, Larry Lee (Becky) Yeater, Elkhart, Ind., and Michael Jon Yeater, New York, N.Y.; and a brother, Harold Oman Yeater, Mesa.

A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wawasee Community Bible Church, Milford, followed by luncheon and fellowship until 2 p.m.
