Norma Jean Dulaney

March 3, 1930-April 13, 2013

GOSHEN — Norma Jean Dulaney, Greencroft Drive, Goshen died 3:50 p.m., Saturday at Greencroft Healthcare.

She was born March 3, 1930 in Middlebury to Forrest and Mildred (Sigler) Bowman.

She married David A. Dulaney, Sr. Sept. 28, 1947; he died Feb. 10, 1982.  

Surviving are children, David (Carol) Dulaney, Bristol, Elaine (Norman) Reynolds, Goshen, Debra (Terrence) Johnson, Goshen, Ronald Dulaney, Goshen, Cheryl (Steve) Lint, Elkhart; a sister, Donna Mae (Eli) Mast, Shipshewana; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are a son, Rex; a granddaughter, Andrea Reed; a sister, Monty Schrock and her companion of 20 years, Bill Sweet.

Norma retired as an assembler from Penn Controls and was a member of the Ladies of the Moose, Penn’s Retirement Club, and the DAV Ladies Auxiliary, Goshen.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Ron Diener of Pleasant View Mennonite Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Violett Cemetery.

There has been discussion at West Goshen Elementary School to require mandatory student uniforms in the future. How do you feel about the prospect of mandatory student uniforms in a public school environment?

I think it’s an excellent idea that is way overdue
I think it’s a bad idea and would be restrictive for students and parents.
