SHIPSHEWANA — Ruth Miller, 59, died at 12:25 am on Wednesday at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Sarasota, FL. after a brief illness.
She was born on Oct. 6, 1954 in LaGrange County, to Harvey V. and Clara (Miller) Lambright.
On May 10, 1973 in Elkhart County she married Lloyd E. Miller, he died May 23, 1992. On June 29, 1996 in LaGrange County she married Nelson Lee Miller, he survives. Survivors in addition to her husband are a daughter, Joann (David Lee) Schlabach; three grandchildren, Kevin Nelson, Kassandra Jane and Krissia Jean Schlabach; mother-in-law, Sarah (Ervin) Miller of Middlebury; father-in-law, Harley Miller of Shipshewana; four brothers, Floyd (Gloria) Lambright of Canton, Ohio, Homer (Fannie) Lambright of Sarasota, Fla., Glen (Annie) Lambright of Topeka, John (Irma) Lambright of Arcadia, Fla.; three sisters, Sara Etta (Sam) Brandenberger and Betty (Sam) Schwartz both of Shipshewana, Kathy (Wilber) Miller of Topeka; brother-in-law, Joe (Ida) Miller of Middlebury.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, a daughter, Jane Renee Miller and a sister, Mary Edna Lambright.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and had been a waitress at the Blue Gate Restaurant in Shipshewana.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. on Saturday and all day Sunday at the David Lee Schlabach residence, 1785 N. 675 West, Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Monday at the Devon Hochstetler residence, 1840 N. 675 West, Shipshewana. Services will be conducted by Bishop Vernon Schlabach, Bishop Randall Riegsecker and the home ministers.
Burial will be in East Barren Cemetery, Shipshewana.
Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is handling arrangements.
