WAKARUSA — Mary L. Blucker, age 95, of Miller’s Merry Manor, died from natural causes at 6:33 a.m. Thursday at her residence.
She was born Oct. 11, 1917 in Milford, to Reuben and Fannie (Farmwald) Yoder.
On June 28, 1939, she married Martin J. Blucker in Warsaw. He preceded her in death Dec. 20, 1997.
Mary lived her lifetime in this area. She was a homemaker and loved baking and crocheting. She was a member of North Main Street Mennonite Church.
Surviving are her sons, Dale (Pat) Blucker and Lonnie (Connie) Blucker, both of Nappanee; daughter-in-law, Joyce Blucker of Nappanee; grandchildren, Terri Huber, Dean (Julie) Blucker, Sheri (Peter) Morey, Robert (Chanelle) Blucker and Jennifer (Rick) Schwartz; 13 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Verna (Ervin) Miller of Bourbon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gene Blucker; six sisters, Laura Mast, Ada Chupp, Elizabeth Stoltfus, Alma Slabaugh, Katie Hershberger and Inez Stutzman; and a brother, Melvin Yoder.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home Sunday at 12:30 p.m. to proceed to Union Center Cemetery, located on the east side of C.R. 11, for burial at 1 p.m.
A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at North Main Street Mennonite Church in Nappanee. The Rev. Ruben Chupp will officiate.
