Treva J. Wise

GOSHEN — Treva Joan (Reynolds) Wise, 81, went home to be with the Lord Sunday at 7 p.m.

Treva was the daughter of Henry O. Reynolds and Mary V. (Kehr) Reynolds. She was married to her loving husband of 61 years, Dale Laverne Wise, on Aug. 10, 1951, in Goshen.

Treva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her career occupations beyond homemaker included secretary and self-employed seamstress for the RV/MH industry. Her hobbies included bird watching, gardening, sewing, listening to gospel music and collecting stones from her travels across the country and abroad. Faith and family were central components of her life.

Treva was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Virgil Reynolds, Dale Reynolds, Claude Reynolds, Mary Ellen (Reynolds) Blosser and Jeanette (Reynolds) Mosier.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Wise; a son, Dalton (Melodie) Wise, Elkhart; two daughters, Regina (Robert) Huff, Bremen, and Lori (William) Firstenberger, Elkhart; a brother, Weldon (Janice) Reynolds, Middlebury; a sister, Delores (Reynolds) Jones, Virginia; and five grandchildren, Todd (Jennifer) Huff, Chad (Meghan) Huff, Troy Huff, Angelica Wise and Eric Firstenberger.

Visitation will take place Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, Wakarusa, and again at 9 a.m. prior to the funeral service. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Bethel Missionary Church, Goshen. The Rev. Joel Gentz of Bethel Missionary Church will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Yellow Creek Cemetery.

A memorial reception will be held at the church following interment. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Missionary Church. Online condolences can be made at www.rrefh.com.
