Benjamin ‘Benji’ Ross Eash

Dec. 7, 1997-March 12, 2013

MIDDLEBURY — Benjamin “Benji” Ross Eash, 15, of Middlebury, died at 7:30 a.m., central time, Tuesday at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.

He was born on Dec. 7, 1997 in Goshen to Allen and Cindy (Troyer) Eash. He was born with Cystic Fibrosis but was able to enjoy his first six years of life in good health. He had struggled for the past nine years with health complications and had been in more rapid declining health since May 2012.

Surviving along with his parents are three brothers, Aaron Eash, Goshen, Tyler and Cory Eash, both at home; grandparents, Harley and Betty Troyer, Goshen; and grandmother, Wilma Eash, Shipshewana.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cornelius and Ruth Eash.

Benji was a freshman at Clinton Christian School where he played on the basketball team and was a sports fan, especially enjoying the Colts. Benji loved spending time with his family. During his hospital stays he enjoyed reading, watching ESPN and the Food channel and in his final days being read and sang to by his mother.

Visitation will be both Friday and Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Siloam Fellowship, Goshen.

There will also be one hour of viewing prior to the 2 p.m. memorial service on Sunday at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church, Goshen. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Walt Morton and the Rev. Gene Troyer.

Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Goshen.

Memorials may be given to Clinton Christian School Education Endowment Fund.
