Mary Faith Hill

NORTH MANCHESTER — Mary Faith Hill, 78, died Monday at 7:04 p.m. at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

She was born Nov. 22, 1934 in Goshen, to Glenn and Elsie (Long) Cripe.

On Aug. 4, 1956, she married Ted M. Hill, who survives.

Also surviving are her son, Rex A. (Lauri Jo) Hill, Johnson City, Tenn.; brother, Alvin Cripe, New Paris; sisters, Caroline Bennett, Kalamazoo, Mich., and Grace Cripe, Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Cinda Gambill, who died in 2009.

Mrs. Hill graduated from Manchester College in 1956 and worked as a school teacher and high-school administrator in Indiana and Texas.

She was a member of Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester, and was active in many church activities. She was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Wabash Retired Teachers Association, Indiana Retired Teachers Association, American Legion Auxiliary of North Manchester and the North Manchester Women of the Moose. She loved caring for her family and was an avid reader.

Memorial contributions may be made to Congregational Christian Church, 310 N. Walnut St., North Manchester.

Services will be announced at a later date. McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be sent to mckeemortuary.com.
