GOSHEN — William T. Rosser, 80, went home to be with the Lord Monday morning after a brief stay at IU Health Goshen Hospital.
He was born Feb. 13, 1933 in Macon, Miss., to Lamar and Katie (Watt) Rosser.
On Oct. 2, 1952 in Columbus, Miss., he married Margaret A. Moore. She survives along with two children, C. Diane (James) Showers, Woolwich, N.J., and Mark T. Rosser, New Paris; five grandchildren, Sarah Schmidt, Kasey Canty, Matthew Showers, Nickolas and Knute Rosser; and four great-grandchildren, Lincoln Showers, Axel Schmidt, Miles and Jazzlin Canty.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandchild, Nicole Rosser; two great-grandchildren, Jayden and Camden Showers; two sisters, Margaret Rosser and Willie Brady; and a brother, James Rosser.
Mr. Rosser worked at Mogul Rubber Company for 47 years before retiring as a group leader. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Goshen. He loved to travel and spend time in the garden. Doing things for others always brought him joy.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday at First Baptist Church, Goshen. Dr. Gregg Lanzen and the Rev. Louis Showers will officiate.
Burial will follow at New Paris Cemetery.
