— SHIPSHEWANA — Polly N. Eash, 82, died Thursday at Miller’s Merry Manor, LaGrange.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Polly was born Jan. 11, 1931, in LaGrange, to Nathaniel A. and Elizabeth (Whetstone) Miller.

On March 12, 1953, she married Eli J. Eash in LaGrange. He preceded her in death March 27, 2000.

Surviving her are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Ora Jay and Irene Eash of Trego, Mont.; David Lee Eash of Shipshewana; Daniel and Esther Eash of Shipshewana; two daughters and sons-in-law, Esther and Ervin Schrock of LaGrange; Ida and Paul Yoder of Sarasota, Fla.; 33 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and five brothers and sisters-in-law, Ervin and Mary Miller of Newago, Mich.; Ora and Orpha Miller of Libby, Mont.; Henry and Edna Miller of LaGrange; Melvin and Fannie Miller and Ezra and Mary Miller, all of Holton, Mich.; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Ida Miller and Ada Miller of Holton, Mich., and Edna and Reuben Graber of Seymour, Mo.; and a sister-in-law, Clara Miller of Topeka.

Her parents; a husband; a sister, Mattie Miller; two brothers, Amos and Samuel Miller; and a sister-in-law, LeAnna Miller, preceded Polly in death.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at her son Daniel Eash’s residence, 3990 N. 675 West, Shipshewana, with the Bishop Marvin Bontrager officiating and home ministers.

Burial will take place at Miller Cemetery, 300W. 350 South,  LaGrange.

Visitation will be held after 1 p.m. today and all day Sunday at Daniel’s residence.
